The Cobb County Public Safety Foundation's R.E.S.T. program represents the Foundation's core mission of supporting the men and women who serve Cobb County through Relief, Equipment, Support, and Training. The program is designed to enhance the health, safety, preparedness, and well-being of first responders by filling critical needs that fall outside of traditional government funding.
As a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization, the CCPSF strives to raise awareness and necessary funds in order to achieve our mission that focuses on four major areas that we refer to as R.E.S.T.
R.E.S.T. – Relief, Equipment, Support & Training
ReliefProviding immediate financial assistance and resources to first responders and their families during times of crisis, hardship, injury, illness, or loss. Relief ensures that those who dedicate their lives to protecting the community receive support when they need it most.
EquipmentFunding essential equipment, technology, and safety enhancements that improve the effectiveness and protection of public safety personnel. This includes specialized gear, wellness resources, and innovative tools that may not otherwise be funded through agency budgets.
SupportInvesting in the overall well-being of first responders through wellness initiatives, family assistance, recognition programs, and community partnerships. Support strengthens morale and demonstrates the community's appreciation for those who serve.
TrainingProviding access to advanced training, professional development, and educational opportunities that help first responders stay prepared for the evolving challenges they face. Training enhances skills, leadership, and operational readiness.
Together, the R.E.S.T. program embodies the Cobb County Public Safety Foundation's commitment to protecting those who protect us. By providing Relief, Equipment, Support, and Training, the Foundation helps ensure that Cobb County's police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, Sheriff's deputies, 911 personnel, and other public safety professionals have the resources they need to serve the community safely, effectively, and with excellence
