Steve was the Assistant Vice-President of Risk Management and Insurance Services for Wellstar Health System, and also served as Executive Director for Wellstar’s wholly owned captive insurance company domiciled in Cayman Community Assurance Company Ltd. Steve retired in January 2023.

Steve worked with Wellstar Health System since 1980, he was part of the original team that helped develop Wellstar’s Rick Management and Insurance Services program.  He has vast experience over his 41 plus years withing the industry which includes living through both soft market conditions as well as our current environment.  Steve has served on numerous committees and held leadership positions for professional organizations, most notably, ASHRM and is a past president for the Georgia Society for Healthcare Risk Management.  He has also presented numerous times over his career for both academic as well as professional groups. 

Steve and his wife Anita reside in Marietta, Georgia, they are members of First Presbyterian Church, and they are both avid travelers, with Grand Cayman listed as a favorite destination.
